Actovia

Files & terminal

Every chat has a folder of its own where the model writes files and runs commands.

Each chat has a working folder, ~/.actovia/workspace/<chat>, created the first time it is used. That is where the file tools and the terminal start, so "make a script and run it" happens in a place of its own rather than in your home folder.

Files

When the model creates or edits a file, the answer shows a compact file card — Created or Edited, with its size — with three actions:

  • Open — in the file's usual app. A file that would run when opened (an app, a script, an installer) is shown in its folder instead.
  • Reveal in Finder (Show in Explorer on Windows).
  • Quick look — a read-only preview inside Actovia: Markdown rendered, anything else as text. Files over 1 MB or that are not text offer Open instead.

A path to a workspace file written in an answer is a link too: click to open, right-click for the same menu.

Terminal

The terminal card shows the command, its output and its exit code (exit 0). Commands run in the chat's folder unless the model changes directory. The model works on its own here, but the hard stops still apply: it asks before sudo, a system-wide install, git push or deleting outside the folder, and anything touching credentials goes through an approval.
