Logs

Read what the app did, find an error, and hand it to someone who can help.

Settings → Developer → Logger reads Actovia's log, kept as one file a day in ~/.actovia/logs/.

  • Pick a Date and a Scope (the part of the app, such as chat).
  • Live follows today's log as it is written.
  • The search box (press /) takes words, -word to exclude, scope:chat and trace:a1b2.
  • The chart above the list shows lines over time by level — Error, Warn, Info, Debug; click a level in its legend to filter.

Open a line for its details: the message, its fields, and for an error its Stack trace pointing at the source. ↑/↓ (or k/j) move to the next line. Lines around shows what happened just before, Same trace everything that belonged to the same request, and Copy for AI copies the line with its context ready to paste into a chat. More actions has Open Directory, Export and Clear All.

The CLI reads the same log: actovia logs.
