Actovia

Security

The app lock, and what keeps the model and other programs in their place.

App lock

Set a PIN in Settings → General → Lock & Privacy. Actovia locks after a period of inactivity, and while it is locked every API request is refused. Unlock with the PIN, Touch ID, or Face ID on a paired phone. Wrong PINs make you wait longer each time.

Only Actovia talks to Actovia

The API refuses requests from web pages and from any origin other than the app itself, so a website open in your browser cannot reach it.

The model can run commands on your computer, so it can reach the loopback listener too. Anything that stands for "the user said so" — approving a tool call, managing paired devices — needs proof the model cannot get: a token only the app's own window holds, or, for the CLI, a pass bought with the app-lock PIN.

Asking before secrets

When a tool call would read something that holds secrets outside Actovia — ~/.ssh, cloud credentials, browser profiles, .env files outside the chat's workspace, a command that prints a token — the run pauses and asks you. Allow once applies to that call only. Actovia's own database, backups, PIN file and certificate are never readable by a tool.
